I'm really happy with my constructive critism that my peers gave to me. I now know what i need to work on to get to a higher level. Even though my magazine was rushed so that i could hand it in on time, i believe that my magazine is alreday at an average level. I totally agree with the points that my peers gave to me, and i will aim to reach above those targets, so that hopefully my level will rise by the time that my final piece will need to be handed in.

Editing techniques

Editing Techniques:
Credits-
The credits in this trailer are placed in the middle. They are done in a simple but effective way. A small clip of the actor/actress and their name flash up on the screen, and because there are so many established stars in the film that have to be mentioned, doing something too complicated would take too long and look messy.

Inspiration for collage background

Life magazine has given me inspiration to have a college background. Alot of their magazines have collages on. For example to celebrate their 70th anniversary they produced a collage of their magazine in a shape of a birthday cake. I think that it looked impressive and the collage on it looked really effective. Obviously i cannot copy their idea but i thought that having a collage as my background and making it faded so the pictures and text stood out was an original idea. Therefore my magazine cover will have a range of images that i have produced on the front in black and white.

The Soloist

Click this picture to take you to the official movie site.

Budget- $60 Million
Gross Revenue- $31,720,158 (Worldwide)
Distributed by- Dreamworks & Universal Studios
Release Dates- 24th April 2009 (US) & 11th September 2009 (UK)
Box Office Sales- The film went only to recover $31,720,158, which was only just over half of it's budget. This was blamed on the film's initial release date being postponed, as well as the film's release coming one week before the 2009 summer movie season.
Star Persona- Jamie Foxx, Robert Downey Jr & Catherine Keener.
Advertisement-The producers of "The Soloist" decided to make an official website that anyone could look at. This was below the line advertisement because it was an advertisement that you had to look for rather than just coming across it.
Critical Reaction- The film was given mixed reviews. Of all reviews given by "Rotten Tomatoes" the film scored positive with an average score of 6/10.
